Sun Surveyor Lite is a valuable tool for photographers, filmmakers, and professionals in the solar industry, architecture, real estate, and gardening. It provides essential information about sunrise, sunset, and the magical hours, allowing users to scout the best locations, plan effectively, and capture the perfect shot.
<ul>
 <li>The 3D Compass and detailed Ephemeris offer a wealth of information about the sun's path throughout the day or year. Users can predict and plan for the golden hour, blue hour, and all sunrise and sunset moments.</li>
</ul>
With additional features like the visual time machine and twilight times (civil, nautical, astronomical), Sun Surveyor Lite allows users to quickly assess lighting conditions and achieve desired compositions. It also provides valuable tools such as solstice and equinox visualization, sun shadow information for calculating shadow length, and magnetic declination compensation.
For even more functionality, users can upgrade to the Full Version of Sun Surveyor which offers:

 <li>Live Camera View: Augmented reality projections of the sun and moon paths, allowing users to determine the precise time they will be in a specific location in the sky.</li>
 <li>Interactive Map View: A top-down perspective of sun and moon paths and events for planning remote shots or PV array placement.</li>
 <li>Street View Panoramas: 360-degree spherical panoramas with overlaid sun, moon, and Milky Way events (where available).</li>
 <li>Moon Information: Moon position, moonrise, moonset, moon phases, apogee, perigee, distance, and a Super Moon finder.</li>
 <li>Seasonal sunlight information at remote locations can be shared with clients.</li>
 <li>Potential shade analysis for surroundings and identification of obstructions.</li>
 <li>Creation of images showcasing the paths of the summer and winter solstice and equinox for a particular site.</li>
 <li>Preparation of night photography shots with the Milky Way and star trail features.</li>
 <li>Offline usage (excluding Map View and Street View) allows users to enter coordinates, save and load locations without a data connection or GPS.</li>
 <li>Measurement tools, including distance, elevation difference, and vertical angle differentials, are available in the Map view.</li>
 <li>Importing and exporting of Google Earth .kmz/.kml locations.</li>
</ul>
